“F” is for Festival this February! So many great events and festivals are happening in February, and they are all squished into the shortest month of the year. Mark your calendars for Groundhog Day (Feb 2), Valentine’s Day (Feb 14), and Family Day (Feb 17), to name just a few of the special days this month.

Hot Chocolate Festival | January 18 – February 14, 2025
How many gourmet hot chocolate creations have you sampled? None?! Well, don’t delay! The annual Hot Chocolate Festival ends on Valentine’s Day and the offerings are AMAZING!
Lunar New Year | January 29- throughout early February
Celebrate the Year of the Snake with one of the many events happening around Metro Vancouver. Don’t miss the popular Lunar New Year Parade happening on February 2nd in Vancouver!
LunarFest | January 29 – February 17, 2025
LunarFest returns to Vancouver this February with weekends full of arts, crafts, and stories. Drop in for crafts workshops, take some inspiration from the live artist talks, and explore art installations.
Poutine Festival | February 1 – 7, 2025
French fries, gravy, and squeaky cheese curds… what’s not to love? Put on those stretchy pants and see how many of the tasty poutine offers you can sample before the festival ends on Valentine’s Day.
Invictus Games | February 8-16, 2025
The Invictus Games is an international sporting event for wounded, injured, and sick armed forces personnel to compete in athletics and showcase the power of perseverance. This year, it is being held in Vancouver and Whistler from February 8-16th and includes wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, sitting volleyball, swimming, skeleton, nordic cross-country, wheelchair curling, biathlon, alpine skiing, snowboarding, and indoor rowing.

Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovers– it’s a chance to show your care and appreciation for all the special people in your life!
