The world-renowned Chinese Lantern Festival is calling Vancouver home this holiday season. The magical event offers 35 illuminated lantern displays – some reaching more than 200 feet in length. This festival is the largest festival of its kind in Canada with more than 1300 individual lanterns, transforming over 14 acres of Hastings Park into an explosion of light and colours. There will be speciality foods available for purchase as well as activities for kids (storytelling and craft making). Don’t miss out on the nightly performances by folk dancers, acrobats, and traditional plate spinners (please note the performances vary every night). The nightly stage shows happen at 6:30pm & 8:30pm (every night) and on Fridays & Saturdays there is an additional performance at 9:30pm.
Tickets are available through TicketLeader. Children under 3 years of age are FREE.
