The play’s the thing at Young People’s Theatre (YPT) at their entertaining March Break Drama Camp, where students spend their days acting, singing and dancing! Through the school break, students in Grades 1-6 can embark on an extraordinary dramatic adventure. Inspired by the whimsical world of “Shrek the Musical”, the campers get to play drama games and have a swamp full of fun!
Let Your Child’s Imagination Take Centre Stage at the YPT’s March Break Drama Camp!
Just like ogres have layers, so do the March Break campers at Young People’s Theatre! Kids can explore singing, dancing, and acting to become a “triple threat”. No previous experience is necessary and everyone is welcome. At this day camp, the versatile performers will:
- Act, sing and dance all day long
- Have fun and laugh with new friends
- Refine their performance skills, guided by professional artist educators
- Build confidence and teamwork skills through creative collaboration with their peers
- Bring to life the songs and scenes inspired by “Shrek the Musical”
- Present a captivating performance for friends and family at the end of the week
The YPT March Break Camp is divided into three age groups (Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4 and Grades 5-6), and each group’s lessons take place at the brand new classrooms at YPT 161 Studios Downtown, just across the street from the Young People’s Theatre on Front Street East. Furthermore, for the convenience of working parents, there is also an After Camp program that is available Monday to Thursday (March 11-14) from 3:30-5:00pm.

March Break Drama Camp Dates: March 11-15, 2024, 9:00am-3:30pm
Cost: $430 per person. Bursaries are also available.
After Camp Fun (Grades 1-6): March 11-14, 3:30-5:00pm
Cost: $50 per person
