Toronto History Museums: March Break Activities

Spend March Break at Toronto History Museums to learn more about our city and enjoy a variety of arts and cultural opportunities. Most events are free, including art exhibits, music and dance performances, and creative classes for all ages.

Fort York National Historic Site — March Break at Fort York

Hang out at Fort York this March Break for a week of family fun, with activities such as historic baking and cooking, schoolroom activities, musket demonstration and tours to learn about the fort’s fascinating history.

Scarborough Museum — Crafts2Kidz: Spring is in the Air at Scarborough Museum
Date: March 8-9, 2025
Time: 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Join Scarborough Museum for an afternoon of hands-on activities, with help from Crafts 2 Kidz. Kids can have fun crafting at three different stations: bird feeder decorating, canvas painting and bracelet making.

Making Home: A Mug Rug Weaving Workshop at Scarborough Museum
Date: March 12-13, 2025
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Guests can weave a mini tapestry using vibrant yarns, the perfect size for a coaster or small decoration. Meanwhile, visitors can explore various weaving techniques to create shapes and patterns inspired by the idea of “home”.

Word Alchemy: A Blackout Poetry Workshop at Scarborough Museum

Spadina Museum — Big Dreams, Little Houses: March Break at Spadina Museum!

Occurring every day of March Break at Spadina Museum, this craft activity lets guests use their imagination and creativity to create foldable miniature furniture and décor for the museum’s collaborative little houses! Kids can also take a free craft kit home to enjoy on their own time.
