Are your kids looking to run away with the circus this March Break? At the Toronto Circus Centre (TCC) in Leaside, they can fly into a week-long camp that is equally active and creative! Not only do campers spend five full days becoming completely immersed in the circus arts at this thrilling day camp, but they get to laugh, jump, spin and play all day long.
During this March Break camp, new students learn the basics of circus performance in a relaxed atmosphere. Together with their new friends, the students try out all the different types of aerial apparatus, including trapeze, hoop, rope and silks. In addition, there’s plenty of fun happening on the floor too, such as juggling, acrobatics, and clowning. Parents are always surprised and impressed by how many circus skills the kids can learn in such a short time. There’s so much they can achieve in just a week!
Don’t worry about whether your children have no previous circus class experience because everyone is welcome. Furthermore, the Toronto Circus Centre coaches are trained to guide each camper on their learning path, depending on their personal skills and comfort level. During the daily lessons, each student tries out every type of apparatus to ensure a balanced experience and then adds to their circus repertoire as they become more experienced junior acrobats. Therefore, every child finds new activities to pique their interest and discover their many talents!
Swing into TCC’s March Break Camp!
Calling all active and creative kids and youth aged 4½ up to 13 — *step right up* to Toronto Circus Centre this March Break with a week full of fun! This program offers lots of different circus arts activities so kids get plenty of exercise in a non-competitive environment while still being expressive and having fun. At their comfortable and renovated gym in Leaside, TCC camps take place indoors but also include outdoor activities throughout the week (weather permitting). Additionally, while all the kids play together in the same gymnasium, the camps also group children with peers in their age range and skill level.
The March Break Camp runs Monday to Friday and as they practise the different apparatus, they develop an exciting show. Through the guidance of the centre’s skilled and trained circus professional staff, the week’s many activities conclude in a FREE end-of-week show for friends and family (on Friday at 4:00pm)! In it, the kids tumble, swing, climb, juggle and clown around in this amazing presentation. It’s a show that parents and loved ones won’t want to miss!
