Torontonians can make a splash, have fun and get some exercise at the city’s indoor public pools, any time of year! Many pools have drop-in swimming sessions, activities such as warm tot pools, diving boards and water slides, plus inexpensive lessons and party room rentals (making it an easy and affordable option for a kid’s birthday pool party).

Pam McConnell Aquatic Centre
Striking architecture meets recreational ingenuity in the burgeoning Regent Park area. For instance, there’s a kids’ warm pool, separate adult hot tub, family change rooms, plus a slide with a long exit (perfect for kids nervous about getting plunged into the deep end of the pool).

Located in the historic St. Lawrence Neighbourhood of downtown Toronto, this pool is in a recreation centre that shares its space with Market Lane Public School and St. Lawrence Community Day Care.

Swansea Community Recreation Centre
In Bloor West Village, this recreation centre and quiet 25-metre, six-lane pool has been servicing their community for over 25 years!

On the side of the busy Trinity Bellwoods Park on Queen West, this well-equipped pool has a separate tots area, viewing area, family change rooms and many other amenities.

This newly renovated recreation centre is in the Toronto neighbourhood of Wallace Emerson, near Dupont & Dufferin. Inside, it has a clean and bright pool with a wide shallow area.

Fairmount Park Community Centre
This pool is located in a small but well-equipped community centre attached to the Bowmore School in the Upper Beaches. There is also a viewing area, so parents can watch the many busy swimming lessons.

Close to the Danforth GO Station off Main Street, this airy space has three level of facilities. The tall ceilings and large windows makes it feel especially light and bright in colder months.

The newest facility in the city (completed in 2023), Ethennonnhawahstihnen’ (pronounced Etta-nonna wasti-nuh, meaning “where they had a good, beautiful life”) is a large multi-use community recreation centre, which includes an aquatic centre, child care centre and even a public library branch!

Located in north Scarborough, the Agincourt Recreation Centre feels like a free waterpark! The facilities include a zero-entry pool, shallow toddler pool with warm water and jungle theme, small slides for the little ones, and a tall twisty water slide with chute exit (so kids don’t have to pass a swim test, as long as they’re 48 inches tall).

Built for the 2015 Pan Am Games, the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre is filled with every watery facility imaginable! In fact, it comes complete with two Olympic-sized pools including 52-metre 10-lane competition pool, dive pool with a multi-platform dive tower, underwater sound system and more.Â
