For a fully natural experience this summer, bring the whole family to Brantwood Farms! From meeting farm friends to picking fruit and veggies, wandering through flower fields or even camping, you can feel at one with nature and appreciate Ontario’s beautiful farmland.
Located just 90 minutes southwest of downtown Toronto in Brantford, Brantwood Farms has been a family-run business for over 100 years. In the 1950’s, they started selling their farm-fresh vegetables to the locals. Ever since, the farm has grown into the one of the best family-run produce and activity farms in Southern Ontario!
Today, the farm is a busy place full of activity, including pick-your-own strawberries, apples and pumpkins, blossom and flower photography opportunities, special outdoor events, and agriculture education school tours that give students a taste of life on the farm. In addition, Brantwood Farms offers fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods and more in their farm market in summer and throughout the growing season. You can also find their homegrown products at farmers’ markets around Brant County!
Berry Picking
Because of Southern Ontario’s warm winter and wet spring, this year’s strawberry season is starting early on June 8! Brantwood Farms is excited to welcome families to the farm this summer, as they have for an amazing 35 years. In fact, there are nine different varieties available that you can pick throughout the season, which lasts around three to four weeks. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle, sunscreen and a hat for sun protection! If you don’t have time to pick the berries yourself, you can pick them up at the farm market as well.

Farm Friends and Farm Play Yard
The Farm Friends program, geared towards children aged 2-7, invites families to explore the farm, learn about the fruit and veggies they grow, and see the flowers, forest, and even the resident bees! Plus, there is a theme each week based on a different fruit or vegetable, with activities such as games, crafts, stories, wagon rides and farm animal visits. As well, all participants can make a craft to take home, along with a sample of something they picked or planted.
Additionally, on weekends, Brantwood Farm opens its Farm Play Yard for kids and parents to have fun outdoors at the farm-themed playground. Admission to the play yard includes a Giant Jumping Pillow, Grain Bin Basketball, Super Slides, Low Ropes Climbing Area, Spider Web, Pedal Go-Karts, plus visits from farm animals and more!
Sunflower Festival
Later in the summer, the fields of Brantwood Farm come alive with spectacular and picturesque sunflowers! Take a wagon ride through the farm to the four-acre sunflower field and also enjoy a shaded forest trail, a picnic area and play area, and cut-your-own sunflowers.
They also host a Sunflower Festival in August to see the thousands of sunflowers spread across gently rolling hills. During the festival, guests can enjoy numerous summertime activities, including a wagon ride to the sunflower field, a patio area, yard games and more. Feel free to stay as long as you like after entry, then cut your own sunflowers to take home!
Flower Field
Don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers this summer! At Brantwood Farms, you can even stroll through a three-acre flower field and see over 70 varieties of flowers, including sunflowers, lisianthus, zinnias, dahlias and sweet peas. Take your time, enjoy the fresh air and open space, surrounded by flowers and trees, then choose the perfect flowers to make yourself a beautiful arrangement to take home. Clippers and containers are provided and they will also wrap your bouquet for you for easy transport.
