Come Celebrate with a Frosty Fantasia Theme for 2025, visit Nutrien WinterShines activities at Market Square; Gather Local Market, and The Banks and Home Quarter. Plus your family will love the Soup Championships at TCU Place. You will find outdoor adventures, events, fun for kids and adults and so much more.
Here is What You’ll Find at Nutrien WinterShines 2025
Soup Cook-offs Co-presented by TCU Place
If you want to warm up with some of Saskatoon’s best soups prepared by the city’s greatest chefs, this will be the week to do it! On Sunday, February 16 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm grab tickets for the Wide Open competition and come to Gather Local Market. From home cooks to students to chefs in the workplace! You can vote for your favourite soup. On Wednesday, February 19 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, fill your tummy’s at the YXE Soup Master Competition at TCU Place. The best of the best will compete and you can vote for your favourite soup. Tickets are required for both the soup cook-offs.
Sleigh Rides
Enjoy the beautiful winter views while on a magical horse-drawn wagon ride with those you love.
Fun For the Families
Your kids can get their faces painted and take part in outdoor games like Jenga and Schlockey (you’ll have to stop by to find out how to play)! Kids will love the snow park with 7 days of outdoor fun and you can complete in a scavenger hunt to be entered in for prizes. At Home Quarter visit the Family Corner where kids can enter the colouring contest. Or Visit The Banks Courtyard to try your hand at outdoor curling, build Inuksuks or visit Lucky 7 Tattoos for fun tattoos.
Sparkle in the Park
You can watch an Ice Carving live challenge. There will be a lot of chances to stroll through the festival site and take a look at all the amazing ice carvings. The ice slide is always a hit with kids and adults alike.
