Last weekend, my family went to Trucktastic 2023 in Saskatoon! Trucktastic! Children’s Expo is an annual event loved by many. With proceeds going to Family Service Saskatoon, kids are allowed to explore mega-construction equipment, ambulances, fire trucks, monster trucks and more. Family Service Saskatoon supports programs and services that address the mental health needs of our community’s most vulnerable people!
This is an event for all ages. Kids and adults alike will love learning about new vehicles. It’s truly amazing for the children though. How many chances do they get to climb onto a city bus and be the driver, or sit on a motorbike, or practically drive a semi? The buttons are all available for them to press, the horns are good to go (and loud) and they can see what it’s like to hang out in construction equipment and more.
You can’t just pass by the Hulk. The boys had to stop and admire him.
Is there anything cooler than this? We had only just begun our journey by all the huge vehicles and the kids were already amazed and excited to get in.
They even got to wash a car. I apologize to anybody who accidentally got washed along with the car. The kids loved this one and probably could have spent all day cleaning the car. (I may have to get my car ready for them next.)
There were lineups for most of the vehicles but none of the kids seemed to mind. They all waited as patiently as they could and made sure to not spend too much time on the equipment so everybody could get a turn.
I took a lot of photos of the kids in every vehicle but there were SO many. They had so much fun trying out all the new trucks/cars/construction equipment and more. Most spots had people ready to answer all their questions.
Of course, every Children’s Expo has a great children’s area. They had mini construction equipment and a bouncy castle for all the kids. There was also food available. Each booth we passed by had something for the kids. We had to grab a bag to fit in the stickers, balloons, treats, freezies and more!
