1. Diefenbaker Canada Centre (101 Diefenbaker Place)
Head to the University of Saskatchewan campus to explore the life and times of locally grown prime minister, the Rt Hon John G Diefenbaker. Alongside this permanent exhibit, the Diefenbaker Canada Centre plays hosts to temporary travelling exhibits and is the perfect place to explore a bit of significant political history that begins right here in Saskatoon!

2. Western Development Museum (2610 Lorne Ave.)
On the south end of Saskatoon, you will find the Western Development Museum. This museum contains a replica of a 1910 Saskatchewan ‘Boomtown’ and explores 100+ years of provincial history. For those with a keen interest in the history of transportation and agriculture, the WDM is one you won’t want to miss! This museum also plays host to temporary and travelling exhibits as well as numerous special events and festivals throughout the year.

3. Marr Residence (326 – 11th St. E)
Take a step back in time at the Marr Residence. This structure, built in 1884, is the oldest structure in Saskatoon and is open for public tours seasonally or by request at 306 652 1201.

4. Wanuskewin Heritage Park (Penner Rd)
This national heritage site celebrates the 6000 years of rich history of the Metis and First Nations people of Saskatchewan. Explore the landscape, take in an interpretive program, and view artifacts, art, and exhibits that will broaden your understanding of the history of the land we now call Canada.

5. Ukrainian Museum of Canada (910 Spadina Cr)
Canada, specifically Saskatchewan, has become home to countless Ukrainian immigrants and their descendants over the past 100 years. The Ukrainian Museum of Canada celebrates and preserves Ukrainian culture and examines its impact on our country.

6. Saskatchewan Railway Museum (West on Highway 7, south 2km on Highway 60)
Explore a 1913 sleeping car along with a vast expanse of railway history which includes locomotives, freight cars, historic railway buildings, and more! This museum is open from the May long weekend to Labour Day. Phone 306 382 9855 for details.

7. Museum of Antiquities (Peter MacKinnon Building, Room 106)
This tribute to the art and culture of the age of antiquity is located on the University of Saskatchewan campus. Features include replica and original pieces from ancient civilizations in Egypt, Greece, Rome, and more.
