Super Kids Playschool is Edmonton’s newest movement-based playschool, providing dynamic early education inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. It is more than just a preschool, offering a comprehensive experience that fosters creativity, promotes physical development, and encourages a lifelong love of learning.
The Super Kids Playschool curriculum emphasizes child-led exploration and discovery. It combines the Reggio Emilia philosophy with hands-on process art, preschool acrobatic arts, and circus arts for a vibrant and engaging learning experience. The classroom space is bright, welcoming, and thoughtfully arranged to encourage curiosity and creativity. Every corner is tailored to engage young minds, from interactive art stations to imaginative play.
In addition to the classroom, students also enjoy exclusive daytime access to the facilities at Velocity Complex. This acro dance and aerial arts studio is beneficial in supporting movement-based learning and physical literacy. Children will use the space to explore various forms of movement through fun activities like playful obstacle courses, creative dance sessions, and circus arts, including juggling and hula hoop.
Super Kids Playschool aims to create a safe and nurturing environment where your 3 to 4-year-old can feel at home. The team of experienced educators are passionate about sharing a fresh new approach to learning and making every day in the classroom feel like an adventure. Learning will focus on social, emotional and physical literacy in alignment with FLIGHT, Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework. The fundamental focus is on play-based learning, with exposure to pre-kindergarten concepts and developing routines that support future school success.
Classes are available 2, 3, or 5 days a week in your choice of morning or afternoon sessions. Super Kids Playschool operates from September to June, aligning with the Edmonton Public Schools calendar for holidays and closures. The school is licensed and participates in the Child Care Subsidy Program, ensuring accessibility to quality early education.
