Edmonton Public Library is proud to work in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to inspire a love of reading in children (birth to 5 years) with the gift of FREE BOOKS for their home library collections. Because of the overwhelming popularity of the Ready. Set. READ! program, it is moving to a lottery system on May 1, 2025 to allow everyone equal opportunity to join.
The Ready. Set. READ! draw will be held every 4 months. Register online now for the first draw on May 1, 2025 and your child’s name will remain in the pot for all upcoming draws in the next 365 days (or until they age out). Children must be 54 months of age or younger to qualify.
If your child is selected, you will be emailed a registration link that must be completed within 5 days. Your child will then begin receiving a new book mailed to your home every month until age five. Each book is age-appropriate and selected by experts to meet your child’s developmental needs.
