It’s pretty powerful to be the first place in Canada to host the Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit – and the TELUS World of Science Edmonton has taken great responsibility in presenting this incredible feature in a way that will delight and amaze Marvel fans of all generations!

The exhibition features more than 300 original artifacts from costumes and props to art and historic comic book sketches. It’s an exhaustive history of the comic giant, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year!

Just inside the exhibit you’ll find a theatre showing a brief recap of the Marvel story. From there, visitors will take a trip through time visiting 8 decades of Marvel history.

Kids will LOVE the chance to “hang out” with their favourite characters! From the chance to sit on a couch next to Thing (watch the reel in the window behind him to see surprise visits from other characters), to practicing your perch next to Black Panther, to flashing a peace sign with Spider-Man hanging upside down on his web, this exhibit is one photo op after another! Of course, the massive Hulk with it’s amazing comic background may steal the show!

There are plenty of interactive opportunities too – parents of my vintage will love watching the opening and hearing the music to the classic Spider-Man cartoon. (Music plays through two personal speakers so the whole exhibit isn’t subject to the song over and over again!)

Peer closely and see what a tiny little Ant Man is up to. (Watch for the Wasp’s wings to flutter a little faster when they kiss!) Vote for your favourite Super Hero. Travel through the mirrored dimension of Doctor Strange.

Serious Marvel fans will love the extensive collection of rare artifacts, from never before seen artwork to concept sketches outlining where the entertainment giant is heading.
Admission to Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes comes at an additional cost over your science centre admission tickets. This is a timed-entry exhibit and visitors will be allowed to enter only at the time selected during the ticket purchase process.
