There’s even more to love about the City of Edmonton’s Green Shack program thanks to a partnership with the Edmonton Arts Council and an exciting line-up of Green Shack Shows! Throughout July and August, you can experience live puppet shows, hula-hooping, magic tricks, drumming, plays, musical concerts, and more from some of Edmonton’s best street performers, musicians, and entertainers. Best of all, it’s all FREE for everyone to come out and enjoy!

Green Shack Shows run 5 days a week at Green Shacks across the city (except on stat holidays). Each day offers two opportunities for fun with showtimes at 11:00 am and 2:30 pm! It’s the perfect excuse to pack a picnic and plan a park-hopping date with friends.

For summer 2024, the first week of July will kick off with performances from Dancing Cree and Joyful Noise Inc:

  • Dancing Cree will share the rich traditions of their Indigenous culture through authentic and innovative dancing, drumming and singing.
  • Joyful Noise Inc. will showcase their show Sankofa Series: A West African Theatrical Story. This family-friendly entertainment company is proud to bring people together through cultural and imaginative storytelling, games, music, and dance.
