Welcome in the Year of the Snake with special performances and cultural traditions in Edmonton’s Chinatown and at the Royal Alberta Museum. This year’s Lunar New Year Celebration will kick off with an opening ceremony with firecrackers in front of Lucky 97 (11 AM), a lion and dragon dance parade along 97 Street, and an afternoon of cultural performances, crafts, vendors, photo booth fun, face painting, and caricatures at the Royal Alberta Museum.
