The Edmonton Valley Zoo, located on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River is home to more than 350 animals. Open year round (except Christmas Day) it is a great place to see wildlife up close and learn about conservation and stewardship. Kids can also enjoy rides including the miniature train, paddle boats on the pond, or the merry-go-round! Check the zoo’s current schedule for daily animal talks, and while you’re there, keep an eye out for Lucy the Elephant – you may just catch her heading out for a walk!
