Celebrate aging with The GeriActors & Friends’ latest stage production The Atto Street Gang! The talented intergenerational theatre troupe is excited to debut their latest original production on June 13-15, 2024 on The Foote Auditorium stage.
“Everyone has a story and everyone is worth listening to. GeriActors is a place where you can be yourself, share your stories and interact with different generations.”
The GeriActors & Friends brings together the talents of seniors, students, and University of Alberta alumni, ranging in age from early twenties to nineties. The wide spectrum of ages and life experiences provides plenty of inspiration for creating original plays based on true stories and issues of aging. The troupe uses a playful approach to the subject matter, with each production filled with humour and music to engage the audience and make difficult subjects more accessible!
The latest production, The Atto Street Gang, follows a group of friends growing up in the wilds of the St. Francis River in Quebec. Experience this tale of friendship and adventure as the gang experiences the “best summer ever” filled with sneaking out, stealing cigarettes, catching fireflies, and newfound freedoms.
