Living in the Rocky Mountains, we are blessed with fine snow and slopes. Finding your next winter adventure is easy; however paying for lift tickets and keeping your family in ski/snowboard gear can be expensive, especially when your children grow out of it every year! The Nakiska Family Snow pack offers your family of two adults and up to three children a day at the hill for only $149.95 (includes lift tickets and rentals for all). It’s the perfect way to spend the day as a family, enjoying a favourite activity or testing out a new one.
Last weekend on a gorgeous sunny day, we had the opportunity to check out Nakiska for ourselves. With many ski areas to explore for all levels of difficulty, Nakiska had something for all of us. My husband and the kids made their way up the hill to the green and blue runs, while I skied the beginner runs (this way my first time downhill skiing). I was a little apprehensive about being a new adult skier, but found myself in good company. The Nakiska staff made the experience fun and they were always friendly and knowledgeable both in the rental shop and on the hill. The price of a lesson was very reasonable and was definitely an invaluable way to get a feel for the sport.
Overall, we enjoyed our day at Nakiska and can’t wait to go back! If you’re looking for a fun family activity, I highly recommend picking up a Nakiska Family Snow pack from your nearest Calgary Co-op store and heading for the hills!
