Summer is the best! Kids are free from the classroom, with more time to play outside, hang out with friends, and enjoy cool, new activities. Okay, sometimes we do hear, “I’m bored,” a little more often than we’d like. But with some well-chosen summer camps, you can add a burst of excitement to an already amazing season! McKenzie Towne Council is hosting children’s summer camps so your kids can get ready to play with terrific active days!
McKenzie Towne is a lovely community in southeast Calgary. McKenzie Towne Council owns, maintains, and manages common amenities and features in the community, as a private, not-for-profit Residents’ Association. All families are welcome to attend the summer camps hosted by the Council, whether or not they are residents of the community.
McKenzie Towne Council Summer Camps
Choosing a summer camp in McKenzie Towne is planning a summer filled with fun! Your child, ages 6 – 12, could attend all summer, as there is a different fun-filled theme for every week. These summer camps run from 8 AM to 4 PM, with before and after care available for a small fee, starting at 7 AM and ending at 5 PM. What camp will your child love best?
July 7 – 11, 2025: Western/Stampede
Yeehaw! Don your cowboy hat and celebrate all things Western in this Stampede-themed camp. Kids will enjoy everything from carnival games to line dancing to pancakes.
July 14 – 18, 2025: Sports/Games
Your young athlete will get moving, test their skills, and have a blast in this heart-pumping camp.
July 21 – 25, 2025: Science/Space
Discover the mysteries of science in this camp. Plan on explosions, volcanoes, and all the exciting wonders of the world around us.
July 28 – August 1, 2025: Animals/Critters
From cute to majestic to crawly, if your child loves animals they will love this camp. It’s hands-on learning and wild fun.
August 5 – 8, 2025: Acting/Broadcasting
Your child will shine in the camp, as they bring their imagination to life, both on the screen and on the stage.
August 11 – 15, 2025: Arts/Crafts
This camp is a week of creativity and discovery as kids explore a variety of materials, including paint, clay, markers, chalk, beads, and much more!
August 18 – 22, 2025: Superheros/Magic
Find your superhero identity and learn magical powers in this larger-than-life camp.
