I first learned about Edgepark Ravine via my friend Dana’s blog Calgary Playground Review. As the name suggests, she writes all about the best playgrounds in Calgary. Today was one of those not too hot, not too cold kind of days that is perfect for an outing to the park. My daughter is obssessed with all things cute and furry, especially bunnies, and I thought it would be a real treat for her to go and see some whimsical bunny sculptures at this park located in Edgemont.

We live in the NW so it was a quick drive for us with ample parking either at the community centre or along the street in the residential area lining the ravine.

The nearby playground area has definitely been loved by many children over the years, it is showing wear and tear but that didn’t stop my three year old daughter from enjoying herself on the slides, monkey bars, swings and tunnels.

The park area is gorgeous with a gazebo and massive shady trees, perfect for a picnic. There are picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the ravine which made me a little regretful I didn’t pack a lunch but instead had to head home once our tummies started to rumble.

To finish our morning off, we managed to find a small geocache located near the gazebo by the playground. It was a wonderful way to spend our morning.
