It’s all fun and games at Calaway Park this Canada Day! Be sure to stop by the Canada Day Station for flags and pins.
Calgary Central Library Canada Day
Head downtown this Canada Day and join the Calgary Public Library for free Canada Day activities at Central Library. Activities will include a special storytime, musical performances, traditional Indigenous dancing demonstrations, and a citizenship ceremony for new Canadians.
Chinese Cultural Centre Canada Day
The Chinese Cultural Centre is hosting a celebration of Canada’s birthday. Enjoy cultural performances and family-friendly activities, or visit the wonderful stores and indulge your taste buds with culinary delights.
City of Calgary Canada Day and Fireworks
This Canada Day, gather the family, as the City of Calgary is celebrating all Canadians and what makes us who we are. Learn more about Indigenous culture and enjoy a full day of music, entertainment, and fireworks.
The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland (formerly Fort Calgary) Canada Day
Head to The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland (formerly Fort Calgary) this Canada Day from 10 am – 3 pm for an Indigenous Artisan Market and Indigenous Showcase and Powwow. You’ll also find the cultural activities and the Canada Day main stage show with a lineup of musicians.
East Village Canada Day Street Fair
East Village is a vibrant, emerging community near Calgary’s core and is centrally located for many of Calgary’s family destinations. Visit vendors and food trucks and enjoy music and activities for all ages.
The King Eddy Canada Day
Celebrate this Canada Day, King Eddy-style, with live music! The King Eddy is presenting No Cover Canada Day, a family-friendly bash in celebration of Canada’s birthday. From 1 pm until closing time, the main floor and rooftop will be filled with live tunes.
Olympic Plaza Canada Day
Head down to the Olympic Plaza for a great day of music and cultural performances this Canada Day. Pack a picnic or grab lunch at a food truck.
Prairie Winds Park Canada Day
Enjoy your friends and family and celebrate by participating in the annual Canada Day celebrations hosted by Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at at Prairie Winds Park. Enjoy a free BBQ, displays and educational activities run by various City departments, and numerous fun activities and games for kids.
Springs Church Canada Day
Grab your family and friends and head to the Springs Church Canada Day Outdoor Carnival on July 1, 2024, filled with great family activities, including a Butterfield Acres Petting Zoo! Admission is $5 per person (ages 4+).
St. Patrick’s Island Canada Day
Enjoy family-friendly entertainment and the beautiful St. Patrick’s Island this Canada Day. There will be performers, face painting, crafts and activities, live music, and more. Grab your lunch at a food truck and celebrate together.
Spruce Meadows Canada Day
Spruce Meadows is planning a Canada Day party, while they are hosting the Pan-American horse jumping competition. The Pan-American is from June 27 – 30, 2024, and they will celebrate Canada Day on June 30, 2024. Activities usually include show dogs, a Kids’ Zone, shopping, live entertainment, and, of course, the show jumping.
Studio Bell Canada Day
Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre (NMC), is ready to rock for Canada’s birthday! Explore Canada’s rich musical history with FREE admission, live music, and hands-on activities.
The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo Canada D’Eh
This Canada Day, celebrate at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo, with moose, beavers and maple, oh my! Kick off the long weekend in red-and-white style while you visit your animal friends at the zoo.

Airdrie Canada Day
Celebrate Canada Day in Airdrie and start the day off with a parade at 10 am on Main Street. Enjoy the day and then you can usually head over to Chinook Winds Park at 10:45 pm (dusk) for fireworks!
Banff Canada Day
The Town of Banff is the perfect place to celebrate Canada’s birthday on July 1! Fantastic family-friendly events run throughout the day, as the town has a full day of Canada Day fun planned, with live music and special activities.
Bar U Ranch Canada Day
This Canada Day, ride into history on a wagon pulled by Percheron horses to discover the life of a ranching cowboy from the late 1800s at the Bar U Ranch National Historic Site. It’s a true Alberta experience! There is FREE admission on Canada Day and lots of family activities.
Canmore Canada Day
This Canada Day, head to the mountains and experience all that Canmore has to offer for Canada Day. There’s a pancake breakfast, a fun run, a parade at 12 pm, live music, and lots more. Note that there will NOT be fireworks in 2023.
Chestermere Canada Day
Canada Day in Chestermere includes a free pancake breakfast, kids’ games, crafts, a trading post, and other entertainment, usually with birthday cake, fireworks, and dancing under the stars.
Cochrane Canada Day
Cochrane is celebrating Canada Day with an all-day celebration! Head to Mitford Park from noon to 11:30 pm for loads of family fun, live entertainment, food trucks, the Half Hitch beer gardens and, of course, fireworks!
Millarville Races Canada Day
The Millarville Races have been an annual tradition since 1905. See the horse races, plus there are children’s races throughout the day, beer gardens with live music, as well as some amazing vendors from the Millarville Farmers’ Market.
Okotoks Canada Day
Join the Canada Day celebration in Okotoks with family fun: enjoy live music, treats, and family activities from 11 am – 3 pm at Wylie Athletic Park. You can also check out the FREE swim sessions at the Recreation Centre. Then, watch the fireworks at 10:45 pm at Bill Robertson Park (formerly Riverside Community Park).
Strathmore Canada Day
Strathmore is putting on a Canada Day bash for the whole family! Find loads of family entertainment, food, live music, and of course, fireworks. The day will start with a pancake breakfast and continue with all sorts of things that kids love.
