It’s time to jump, spin, and move — if you have a young dancer, keep them on their toes with Alberta Ballet summer camps! Ballet is about grace, but also power and strength. It’s a creative endeavour that gets kids active. These camps teach ballet and also offer a week filled with summer fun!

Founded in Edmonton in 1966, Alberta Ballet has grown into a major professional performing arts company with an internationally renowned ballet training institution. But it doesn’t matter how old you are or where you’re starting; Alberta Ballet has ballet training for all ages and experience! They offer recreational and dedicated dance programs from preschool to adult, in a warm, encouraging environment. Plus, every class has live accompaniment — and it’s wonderful dancing to live music! Alberta Ballet summer camps are offered for any child, ages 3 – 12, who loves to dance. No dance experience is necessary! The week-long camps mix dance, movement, and summer fun for your kids. Every day will include some dancing, but also crafting, games, and other adventures.

Preschool Camps: The littlest dancers, ages 3 – 5, will enjoy a fun and engaging experience at half-day camps. Choose from morning or afternoon camps that feature dance, creative movement, and arts and crafts. Caring instructors promote teamwork, creativity, and a love for movement.

Youth Camps: Youth camps for kids ages 6 – 8 and 9 – 12, allow students to get creative and stay active with daily classes in ballet, contemporary, commercial jazz technique, and body conditioning. Kids will enjoy other fun summer camp activities, too. These camps run for full days.

Alberta Ballet also offers summer sessions for dancers with some experience. There are one-week sessions for dancers ages 10 – 11, who have a minimum of one year of ballet experience. For dancers ages 12 and up, there are sessions for those who have a minimum of three years of ballet experience.
